ARRIVAL IN PARADISE
WELCOME TO THE INDIAN OCEAN
Arrive in Mauritius and meet your local representative for a comfortable transfer to your selected resort. As you journey through the island, take in your first glimpses of tropical landscapes, palm-lined roads and the turquoise coastline. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at leisure. Relax at the resort, unwind by the beach or simply enjoy the peaceful island atmosphere before beginning your Mauritius journey.
Enjoy a smooth arrival experience with pre-arranged transportation from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport to your resort, allowing you to begin your holiday comfortably from the moment you land.
DISCOVER THE NORTH OF MAURITIUS
COASTAL CHARM, CULTURE & ISLAND LIFE
Begin the day with breakfast before setting out to explore the vibrant north of Mauritius. Travel towards Port Louis, the island’s capital, and discover its colourful streets, local markets and lively waterfront atmosphere. Continue to Caudan Waterfront before heading north towards Grand Baie, one of Mauritius’ best-known coastal areas. Enjoy time to explore the waterfront, browse local boutiques or simply take in the relaxed tropical surroundings before returning to your resort.
Explore Mauritius’ capital and experience its distinctive blend of local culture, colonial influences, markets and modern island life.
Enjoy time at the waterfront with its boutiques, cafés, marina atmosphere and views across Port Louis harbour.
Discover the lively coastal character of Grand Baie, known for its beautiful bay, relaxed atmosphere and vibrant northern shoreline.
ESCAPE TO ÎLE AUX CERFS
TURQUOISE LAGOONS & ISLAND ADVENTURE
After breakfast, check out from your resort and travel towards the east coast of Mauritius for one of the island’s signature experiences — Île aux Cerfs. Board a boat from the jetty and cross the turquoise lagoon to this beautiful offshore island. Spend the day surrounded by white-sand beaches and clear tropical waters, with time to swim, relax by the shore or choose from optional watersports. Later in the afternoon, return to the mainland and continue to your resort in Belle Mare for check-in and a relaxed evening.
Travel from North Mauritius towards the east coast and the departure jetty for Île aux Cerfs.
Cross the beautiful east-coast lagoon by boat and arrive at the shores of Île aux Cerfs. (Around 09:30 AM – 10:00 AM)
Enjoy an unhurried island day surrounded by white sands and turquoise lagoon waters. Relax on the beach, swim in the lagoon and explore the tropical surroundings at your own pace. Suggested Time Approx. (10:00 AM – 04:00 PM)
Guests may choose from available activities such as parasailing, banana boat rides, water skiing or other lagoon-based watersports, subject to weather and local operating conditions.
04:00 PM – 05:30 PM Return to the mainland and continue to your Belle Mare resort for check-in and an evening at leisure.
JOURNEY THROUGH THE WILD SOUTHWEST
WATERFALLS, COLOURED EARTH & THE ICONIC LE MORNE
After breakfast, check out from your Belle Mare resort and journey across Mauritius towards the island’s spectacular southwest. The landscape gradually changes from tropical coastline to mountains, forest and dramatic volcanic scenery. Begin with the panoramic landscapes surrounding Black River Gorges, before continuing to Chamarel to discover its famous waterfall and extraordinary Seven Coloured Earth Geopark. Later, travel towards Le Morne, where the mountain rises dramatically above the turquoise lagoon. End the day with check-in at your resort in the Le Morne region and an evening at leisure.
08:00 AM – 10:00 AM Travel from the east coast across the island towards the mountainous southwest region.
10:00 AM – 10:45 AM Pause amid the lush landscapes of Black River Gorges National Park, taking in panoramic views across forest-covered valleys and the dramatic interior of Mauritius.
11:15 AM – 01:15 PM Visit one of Mauritius’ most distinctive natural attractions. Admire Chamarel Waterfall before discovering the remarkable volcanic dunes of the Seven Coloured Earth, where naturally occurring mineral-rich soils form layers of contrasting colours. The standard Geopark admission currently includes access to the Chamarel Waterfall viewpoints, Seven Coloured Earth and Tortoise Park. The attraction opens from 08:30 AM, closing at 5:00 PM from June–September and 5:30 PM from October–May
Enjoy time for lunch in the Chamarel region before continuing towards the coast.
03:00 PM – 04:30 PM Continue towards Le Morne, where the imposing Le Morne Brabant mountain meets one of Mauritius’ most beautiful lagoon landscapes. Enjoy time along the coast for sightseeing, photography and the relaxed atmosphere of the southwest.
Around 05:00 PM Arrive at your selected southwest resort, complete check-in and enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.
THE ART OF ISLAND LIVING
BEACH LEISURE, LAGOON WATERS & A MAURITIAN SUNSET
AT LEISURE After breakfast, enjoy a slower day surrounded by the natural beauty of Le Morne. With its white-sand coastline, turquoise lagoon and dramatic mountain backdrop, this is the perfect setting to experience the relaxed side of Mauritius. Spend the morning at leisure at your resort or along Le Morne Beach. Guests may choose to add an optional lagoon or watersports experience during the day before returning to the resort for a relaxed afternoon. As evening approaches, enjoy the famous west-coast sunset and your final night in Mauritius.
09:00 AM – 01:00 PM Enjoy an unhurried morning beside the lagoon with time for swimming, relaxing on the beach and enjoying the resort facilities. Le Morne is particularly known for its striking mountain backdrop, clear lagoon waters and beautiful west-coast setting.
02:00 PM – 05:00 PM Spend the afternoon at your own pace. Relax beside the pool, visit the spa, enjoy the beach or simply unwind before the final evening of the journey.
09:00 AM – 02:00 PM Travel by boat into the southwest lagoon towards Île aux Bénitiers, with the opportunity to see Crystal Rock, snorkel in the lagoon and enjoy time on the island. Organised excursions in this area commonly operate by local boat, speedboat or catamaran.
Le Morne is one of Mauritius’ best-known kitesurfing areas, particularly during the stronger trade-wind period from roughly April to November. Lessons should be booked with a qualified local operator and remain weather-dependent.
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
A FINAL MORNING IN PARADISE
Wake up to your final morning in Mauritius and enjoy breakfast at the resort. Depending on your flight schedule, spend some time relaxing by the beach, enjoying the resort surroundings or taking one last walk along the Indian Ocean coastline. Complete check-out and meet your driver for the scheduled transfer to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, bringing your Mauritius journey to a comfortable close.

Travel comfortably from the Le Morne region to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. Airport departure will normally be scheduled to allow sufficient time for airline check-in, security and immigration formalities before the flight.

Hotel check-in/check-out, child policies, cancellation terms and amendment charges are governed by the respective properties and service providers. Guests are responsible for holding valid passports, visas and all required travel documentation before departure.
Travel By Twilight reserves the right to substitute hotels, vehicles, activities or services with suitable alternatives of a similar standard when operationally necessary.
Watersports options will be shared around 2 weeks before travel for advance selection. If advance booking is unavailable, activities may be booked locally, subject to availability and weather conditions.
Getting Here: Mauritius is served by Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU), the island’s principal international gateway. On arrival, guests are welcomed and transferred comfortably to their first resort as part of the package.
Airport & Flight Transfers: Arrival and departure airport transfers are included in the package, together with all scheduled transfers mentioned in the itinerary. International flights are not included unless specifically added to the booking. Our Trip Coordinator / Guide is also included, providing assistance with the journey, scheduled activities and on-ground coordination throughout the trip.
Private Helipad & Charters: For guests seeking an elevated arrival experience, private helicopter transfers and scenic charter flights can be arranged on request. Airport-to-resort helicopter transfers are possible where the selected hotel or resort has suitable helipad access. All helicopter services are optional, supplementary and subject to availability, weather conditions, baggage limitations and operational approval.
